Update 04/02/08
Points: 710 Position: 22310
Transfers Made:
Out: C Samba
In: A Hutton
Out: N Shorey
In: J Lescott
I have to say well done to Wayne Francis from Essex, who knocked me out of the YTM Cup this weekend. I am not however prepared to go out without a fight, and will march on towards the top of the YTM leaderboard!
Chris Samba has not performed since I brought him into the team, so he is gone, and I have recruited a new addition to the YTM playerlist, Alan Hutton, who at £3.5m should get me plenty of points for a modest outlay.
Reading's season is going from bad to worse, and I am really starting to worry for them. Nicky Shorey's a great player, and should move to a bigger club. Until he does though, he is out, and replaced with goal-machine Joleon Lescott, who is a regular in a very tight Everton defence.
I may be out of the YTM Cup, but I am sure these transfers can help me break into the top 20,000 in You The Manager!

Update 09/01/08
Points: 557 Position: 29400
Transfers Made:
Out: E Eboue
In: G McCartney
Out: K Nolan
In: C Ronaldo
Out: D Drogba
In: F Torres
Out: M Derbyshire
In: R Santa Cruz
After a hectic Christmas period my team is in a current position of 29,400th, still hanging in there for a top-half finish. That might satisfy some YTM managers, but my sights are set far higher, so it's time to ring the changes for the New Year. I've freshened up my line-up with four more changes that make Lawrenson's XI a force to be reckoned with.
Emmanuel Eboue is off to the African Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast, so he's been dropped in favour of West Ham's George McCartney, a real bargain who'll run all day and already has a goal and two KCs to his name this season.
Kevin Nolan's a true warrior, and he's not done much wrong, but my team can't survive any longer without Cristiano Ronaldo. 13 goals in 16 league starts is a phenomenal record from a wide-man, and he's become a must-have choice in You The Manager this season.
Didier Drogba is another who's off to the Cup of Nations in Ghana, so he's been replaced by Liverpool sensation Fernando Torres. With Rafael Benitez under considerable pressure at Liverpool, he can't afford to leave out his best striker, which spells goals aplenty for the talismanic Spaniard.
I've finally lost my patience with Matt Derbyshire - he's not getting enough of a look-in with the emergence of Paraguayan scoring sensation Roque Santa Cruz, so it makes sense to bring the in-form South American into my team in his place.
I'm certain that these changes will make me a force to be reckoned with in the You The Manager Cup, which kicks off this week. You'd better look out if you are unlucky enough to come up against Lawrenson's XI in the first round - my team is now geared up perfectly for a sustained charge at YTM cup glory!

Update 08/11/07
Points: 303 Position: 24147
Transfers Made:
Out: P Cech
In: J Reina
Out: P Chimbonda
In: C Samba
Out: J O'Shea
In: G Clichy
Out: R v Persie
In: C Tevez
I have had a decent start to the season in You The Manager, but I would like to improve in 24,000th, so I have made four bold transfers as we head into the Christmas fixture congestion.
Cech has been the best keeper so far, but he has picked up an injury and will be out for a month.
I think Pepe Reina will be able to pick up where Cech left off with plenty of clean sheets.
Spurs defence has been leaking goals and it remains to be seen whether Ramos can change it, so Chimbonda has to go, and Christopher Samba is the heart of a very tough Blackburn defence.
John O'Shea is getting limited pitch time, so my £6m is now being used on Gael Clichy, who loves to attack down the left for the Gunners.
Finally, Robin van Persie's injury has left me no choice but to replace him. Carlos Tevez is a worthy replacement, and looks to have struck form with Rooney up front for the Red Devils.
Hopefully these changes will work for me!

Here's my team which would be unbalanced in the Premier League - but hopefully has a winning combination for success in Fantasy Football!
Petr Cech plays behind Chelsea´s notoriously mean defence while Emmanuel Eboue and John O´Shea are listed as defenders but more regularly play in midfield and like to get forward.
Then Nicky Shorey and Pascal Chimbonda are two full backs who like to get forward and set up chances.
David Bentley is a great provider for Blackburn, Kevin Nolan is Bolton´s main man and Martin Petrov has started well at Manchester City.
Finally, I have gone for two fantastic forwards with Robin van Persie and the prolific Didier Drogba as well as Blackburn´s improving and emerging Matt Derbyshire who is one for the future.
